What is included?
You are not renting an empty server package but a service that is ready to run. Included are the pre-installed, current BigBlueButton instance, operation in a German data center, updates and security patches, monitoring, the recording feature, GDPR compliance including a data processing agreement, and support in German and English.
The BBB feature set comes with it: audio and video, shared presentations, a multi-user whiteboard, screen sharing, chat, polls, breakout rooms and shared notes. How quickly can I start? After your order we set up your instance and hand over the access details. We agree the date with you when your order arrives.
Where is my data stored? On servers in Germany, in an ISO 27001 certified data center. We provide a data processing agreement.
How many participants are possible? That depends on the package you book. For peak load, capacity can be distributed across several servers using Scalelite. We clarify beforehand which plan size fits your typical number of participants.
Can I record conferences? Yes, BigBlueButton includes a recording feature. Recordings are stored on our servers in Germany.
Does BigBlueButton work with Moodle? Yes. BBB can be added as an activity directly inside Moodle courses, so sessions and recordings live in the course. Details →
Do participants have to install software? No. BigBlueButton runs in the browser. Participants need neither a client nor a user account.
